Removing merged setting groups RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey all,

I know from the documentation and the forums that you can hide setting groups. But what about being able to delete duplicate entries for setting groups? I ask because I merged a GPO I imported from our live enviroment with a Microsoft baseline. The resultant new baseline now has a few double entries for some of the setting groups.

An example would be the "Accounts: Guest account status". There is an entry for this under "computer configuration\windows settings\security settings\local policies\security options" and an entry under "local policies\security options". The later looks like it is just a shortened form of the first. But I don't need double entries, so is there a way to delete the first entry?

    Thanx,

    Chad
