Drive mapping dissapears

    Question

  • We have a user that works with a drive mapping. When the user works in  the drive mapping and a gpupdate is executed the drive mapping closes.

We did ajust the group policy to create but this did not help. Ajusting the mapping to update didnt help also..

Starting with Win 8.1, the drive mapping cse is processed during
    periodic background gp refresh.

To avoid this behaviour, there are 2 options:

    a) do not apply during background refresh -
    b) addd Item Level Targeting to your mapping: "Processing mode" is "not"
    background.

  • Just to be sure. I also want the gpupdate to be done, but i also want them to work in the drive mapping?

This is still possible after this right?
