Auto (function) Opening Multiple Tabs RRS feed

  • Question

  • Years ago I wrote a web page that opens my morning reading, about 75 different websites.  In firefox, I had to add a variable to allow this, as (understandably) this is turned off as a security feature by default.  As I am moving to IE, I would like to do that here.  How can I do it?

Powershell is now the way to automate windows tasks. VB script has been depreciated since IE11.

You will find the powershell TechNet forum here - https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/home?forum=winserverpowershell

To avoid confusion please include your existing source code (html markup) for your startup page with your question.

75 tabs opened at once will probably turn your pc into a brick. You could probably get away with just a news search using your preferred Search Provider or an aggregation service (eg. cnn).

Put them all into a tab group and open that (with Ctrl-Enter supposedly).  If you really needed that to be automated you could try doing it with this one liner in a cmd file (in that tab group's subdirectory):

for  %u  in  (*.URL)  do  "%u"

    Good luck
