I am trying to seperate related icons on the taskbar. I have already selected "Never Combine" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to separate related icons on the taskbar.  I have already selected "Never Combine" and that works for some but not al of my apps.  Browsers are the main culprit (IE, Firefox,etc...) but other apps do it too.  I would like to separate the processes for two reasons:

    1. I would like so separate my IE icons.  IE1, Otherapp, IE2, Yetanotherapp.

    2. If I have three tabs open in IE1 and two tabs open in IE2 I would like the Aero Peek (or preview) to only show the tabs in that instance of the browser.

Thanks in advance from: Jay Grace

  • Thats because IE is one process.  It will not separate applications that run under one process.  If you open multiple instances of Internet Explorer, instead of tabs, you now have multiple processes of IE and thus separated icons on the taskbar.

Be kind and Mark as Answer if I helped.
