Outlook 16 will only open as admin.... meaning i cannot attach attachments from my user account RRS feed

  • Hi All

    Outlook 16 will only open as admin..... unless I select this option it opens so far and says its looking for the problem then closes...

    Opening as Admin is good I can send and receive emails no problem, However if I need to attach a file it opens my Admin Account on the computer (no files there) but all my files are on a user Account... any info anyone can give me to resolve this issue is much appreciated

  • Hi,

    In search panel for Windows, type Outlook, right-click the search results Outlook 2016, select Open file location. Then right-click it, select Properties. Go to Security tab, make sure the permissions are configured properly for normal users.

    Also confirm if other Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) can be opened normally with this user account or not. Additionally, we can go to Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles > Add, then setup new email account in new profile. Set "When starting Microsoft Outlook, use this profile: Prompt for a profile to be used". Use this new profile and start Outlook to have a try.
