  • I agree, it never really worked on 2008R2 and I had to deploy a 2012R2 server to get Windows 10 to update properly.

you have to apply various patches to make it work properly just to warn you.

  • Hi,

I suggest you deploy Windows Server 2012 R2 WSUS server, as quoted from the article below,

WSUS 3.0 “can provide only minimal Windows 10 update support (i.e., sync and distribute security updates), and the experience is less than ideal. As an example, the Windows 10 machines will display as “Windows Vista” for those remaining on WSUS 3.0 SP2.”

For those on WSUS 3.0 SP2 (or SBS 2011)

    https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/wsus/2016/01/22/for-those-on-wsus-3-0-sp2-or-sbs-2011/

In addition, please install this update on Windows Server 2012 R2 WSUS server to enable WSUS support for Windows 10 feature upgrades:

Update to enable WSUS support for Windows 10 feature upgrades

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-hk/kb/3095113

if is i use wsus of winserver 2012R2  can support win xp ,win 7 ?)

Windows 7 should be supported and please upgrade your Windows XP systems to supported OS.

    Best Regards,

    Amy
