MDT Wizard not displaying "Sysprep and Capture" option RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    Followed quite a few tutorials on forum but nothing I do is resolving this issue and it's very irritating whereby sysprep capture isn't showing up despite when creating the task sequence and only task sequence with 'Sysprep & Capture' template.

    I newly deployed Microsoft Deployment Toolkit build 2013 8443.

    My MDT Rules:

    ++++++++++++++++++++++

    [Settings]
    Priority=Default
    Properties=MyCustomProperty

    [Default]
    OSInstall=Y
    SkipCapture=NO
    SkipAdminPassword=NO
    SkipProductKey=YES
    SkipComputerBackup=NO
    SkipBitLocker=NO
    EventService=http://ukc01mdt01:9800

    My MDT Bootstrap.ini
    ++++++++++++++++++++++

    [Settings]
    Priority=Default

    [Default]
    DeployRoot=\\UKC01MDT01\DeploymentShare$

    Steps:

    ++++++++++++++++++++++
    I installed Windows 10 on a VM Box, rebooted audit mode
    Run the LiteTouch VBS from the OS, login with my domain account to access the DeploymentShare$
    Once authenticated, I choose the Win10 Capture task sequence you can see there is no Sysprep Capture option in the wizard.
    Is there anything I missed? can I change anything to resolve this issue?

  • Ok, instead of running the litetouch.vbs file from the desktop, I decided to reboot and see the option for Capture now:

    But I'm getting an error message:

    deployment will not proceed.

  • Ok manage to address the error above, I had to give my Deployment shares permissions under the advance tab. SO I ran it again but now I get the following error messages:

  • Check the Panther logs under windows\system32\sysprep\panther

    THey should state what the specific error is.
