Windows 10 Password RRS feed

  • My elderly mother upgraded her laptop to Windows 10 (I was unaware she did this) and obviously had to establish a password in the process. She has not used her laptop for email in quite some time. We've tried using the recovery request form several times online but our issue is that she doesn't recall her previous passwords for her email account. Is there a customer service number she can call to try and get this recovery process completed? She can't use her laptop at all until we figure out what she set her new Windows 10 password to....thank you.

  • Unfortunately I do not think there is a phone number for this support. The only thing to do is try other password or to reset the password.

    When upgrading to Windows 10 it should have asked for a Live account (Which should be the username) - so it would just be the email password.

    Failing that she might have just added a local password. I would suggest to try all passwords you can and try reset if possible.
