Anonymous outbound dailing RRS feed

  • Question

  • For some reason we want to be able to make anonyous outbound calls. Now you can suppress your caller ID in the Voice Route, but is it possible to make anonymous outbound calls.

  • Hi, we can try that one.

Also at this point they have change their minds so there's no need for anonymous calling anymore

  • Hi Hans,

Can you use *31* before dialling outside? Would it not work for you?

  • I might use a trunk configuration rule or an SBC to pull the calling ID off.  But typically instead of anonymous masking it with the corporate main number is sufficient for most firms (unless you're a collections agency or something).  Though you no longer need the info?
