sfc response RRS feed

  • Question

  • After attempting to run:

    sfc /SCANFILE=d:\windows\system32\kernel32.dll /OFFBOOTDIR=d:\ /OFFWINDIR=d:\windows

    I get,

"Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service.".

I am about ready to reload a 2 month old reg backup, something is very strange...

  • I'm not sure if I know how what you mean. I have attempted to install the update from A pre-downloaded file.
