Exchange 2003 Legacy - UAG Portal - An unknown error occurred while processing the certificate. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good afternoon all,

We have the following functioning right now:

Trunk1 - Exchange 2003 with ActiveSync and OWA with a wildcard certificate.

We are trying to get the following working:

    Trunk2 - Exchange 2010 application; Exchange 2003 application with legacy namespace.(wildcard cert)

When it tries to redirect to the legacy.company.com we get the following:

An unknown error occurred while processing the certificate. (Webpage error)

The certificate received from the remote server has not validated correctly. The error code is 0x80092013. The SSL connection request has failed. The attached data contains the server certificate.(Application Log)

We have tried to get around this by creating split-DNS entries for the following:

    EXCAS2010_01.company.com

    EXCAS2010_02.company.com

    EX2003.company.com

This appears to resolve the 2010 issue...but it looks as though the 2003 is still not performing the TLS Handshake properly.  I know that we can disable the CRL check...but would really like to avoid this unless we have to.  Deploying a UCC Cert is not an option for us at this point.

    Any advice?
