  • It seems you have been infected by malware.

    Follow these steps:

    1) Disable your capslock

    2) try this: http://www.pcworld.com/article/243818/how_to_remove_malware_from_your_windows_pc.html

    3) if you don't have antivirus software installed install: Microsoft Security Essentials

    4) Keep capslock disabled, at least when posting in forums :-)

    Don't forget about Alt+Esc!

  • Download AdwCleaner by clicking Download Now @ BleepingComputer, here http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ Make sure you download AdwCleaner and not any of the other ‘foistware’ on the page.

Simply follow the website instructions to run it, i.e. close all open programs, including internet browsers, then double-click on Adwcleaner.exe. To remove it when you’ve finished with it, run it again and choose Uninstall.

  • As Weslee db and BurrWalnut says, it's due to presence of malware. Follow their suggestions to remove any malware. Additionally, follow the link to change TCP/IP settings:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357

Alternate method: Press Windows key+R->type ncpa.cpl and press enter. Right click on the each of the network adapters present->click Properties. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)->click Properties. Select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically. Click Ok. Then click Ok.

  • Hi,

For this issue, I suggest you reset IE first, and then test this issue again.

    1. On the Tools menu, tap or click Internet options. If you don't see the Tools menu, press Alt.
    2. In the Internet Options window, tap or click the Advanced tab.
    3. Tap or click Reset.

You may also check your computer with the following tool and remove the infection if it is found.

    Malicious Software Removal Tool

I also suggest you post a thread in the XP IT Pro forum:

    Regards,

    Yolanda
