New word document not saving in proper location in shared documents RRS feed

  • When I add a team site to my top level site collection, so the final url is: http://servername01/grosmorne/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx

    From there I go to Documents -> New Document -> New Word document, office opens Word, I type text, save the file. Click refresh in Shared Documents and newly created word doc is not in library. The reason for this is that Word saves to local Libraries\Documents, and not into grosmorne\Libraries\Documents...Why ? That's my question.

    If I goto Documents -> Upload Document, everything works, files are added to Shared Documents...but not if creating new document from Word.

    Please help.
