No one other than project owner can able to edit the project plan RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    Environment is Project Server 2013

I want to implement permission in such a way so that Only Project owner can edit the Project plan.

No other user who has same RBS or Higher RBS will be able to edit the project but they can see the Project in Project center also they can have permission to create their own projects.

  • Hi Kirtesh,

The default project manager security group might answer your need, did you test it? It is associated with:

1- My projects category which gives read write permission on the projects the user is owner/status manager of.

2- My organization category which doesn't allow opening/publishing any projects.

    Hope this helps,

  • And before you can implement this, you have to change the permissions mode from SharePoint to Project Server.  If you haven't already done this, you can follow the link https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219486.aspx
