WSUS as just a reporting tool RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I want to use WSUS as just a reporting tool and not have it push out updates - is it possible to prevent the updates being pushed out (I know this happens inadvertantly :) )  and only allow me to look at the front end to get a idea of the status of all our client PCs and servers?

WSUS,used to distribute updates to your clients ,in this case  for what reason you will install  and use your WSUS?

It does not make sense to use WSUS reports if you do not distribute updatesvia WSUS

Nope, updates via WSUS will never install until you approve needed updates for installation or these updates fall under the auto approval rules

  • Thanks Siniy.

All I want to be able to do is view the updates needed.

I will just not approve them.

    Thanks
