  • Disables BitLocker Drive Encryption for a volume.

    PowerShellDisable-BitLocker
           [-MountPoint] <String[]>
           [-WhatIf]
           [-Confirm]
           [<CommonParameters>]

    Disable-BitLocker -MountPoint "C:"

    Ref:Disable-BitLocker

  • "It stops" - please clarify. How far do you get? If you cannot even logon, you may decrypt using a setup disk preboot environment (boot a setup usb stick, when at the language selection prompt, press shift F10 and a command line will appear. There, launch

    manage-bde -status

->that will let you identify the drive letters as setup sees them. Then launch

    manage-bde -unlock c: -pw

    [enter password now]

    then

    manage-bde -off c:

in case your c: drive is called c: as well).

This will decrypt the drive. However, this might take a while - launching

    manage-bde - status c:

will tell you how far it got ->it needs to read 0% encrypted.
