Do you want to send the newsletter as an email? With the newsletter linked or attached?
Here are some options:
- Store the newsletter as a Word document, as a SharePoint page or as a SharePoint Wiki article. Let the user's know how create their own Alerts on the document library, page library or Wiki library. (You could add a note at the top of the library with instructions.)
They will then get emails when you post new newsletters with a link to the item.
- Similar the above... create a page, wiki or document in a library. Post the announcement of the new newsletter in a list where users create their own Alerts. This let's you better control the release timing of the newsletter and let's the user see a list
with a history of past issues.
- Create a SharePoint list to hold the subscriber emails. Configure the list to support "Item-level Permissions" (in the list's Advanced Settings page) with "<label
for="ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_ItemLevelSecuritySection_ctl09_RadReadSecurityOwn">Read items that were created by the user</label>" and "<label for="ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_ItemLevelSecuritySection_ctl10_RadWriteSecurityOwn">Create
items and edit items that were created by the user</label>" set. Create a Site Workflow that you run whenever you want to announce a newsletter. The workflow would send an email to each user in the list with the latest newsletter link.
- You posted this in the "Legacy" section, but if you are using Office 365 you could create solutions using FLOW or Outlook Groups.
