Sporadic remote wipe without user interaction on iPhones RRS feed

  • A customer has a stange behavior with his iPhone 3/4 devices in a mixed Exchange 2010 SP1 and Exchange 2003 environment. He tells that sporadically some iPhone will be erased via remote wipe. The message tells that this was triggered by the user but there was no user interaction at all. 
    There  are no problems with Windows Mobile devices.

    Maybe someone has an idea what can cause this misbehavior.

  • Exchange cannot initiate a Remote Wipe on its own, it has to be triggered by Admin, and incase of Exchange 2010 a user can initiate a Remote Wipe as well for his phone
