Unable to attach to process (terminated process) RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are using App-V 4.6 on our client computers.
Most of the times our applications launch without problems, but sometimes the application cannot be launched.

In our event log we find the following logs:

    Log Name:      Application
    Source:        Application Virtualization Client
    Date:          25.05.2010 14:37:44
    Event ID:      6007
    Task Category: (16)
    Level:         Error
    Keywords:      Classic
    User:          N/A
    Computer:      VISI-VDPXP-03
    Description:
Q:\Off2k7.A01\Microsoft Office\Office12\WINWORD.EXEUnable to attach to process 2588 (Terminated Process)

Is there a solution to this problem?
Does anybody know what causes this to happen?

I found similar problems on multiple fora but these indicate that the problem should have been resolved in App-V 4.5 SP1 Hotfix 1
    (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/978480)
As I am using App-V 4.6 on our clients, I would assume I don't have to apply the hotfix?

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

Remove the antivirus and see if they perform better. If they do, start investigating how your antivirus effects your environment.
