Service in Safe Mode RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

    I have a service of 3rd party product that fails to start in Safe Mode. I tried several ways but no hope.

    I tried the following:

    1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Option
      change "OptionValue" to if present
      "OptionValue"=dword:00000000
      and restart the computer. the value return as the old one
    2. delete the Key, the key add itself again
    3. try to add reg key with my service name REG ADD "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Network\SERVICE_NAME_HERE" /VE /T REG_SZ /F /D "Service"

    all of them failed...

    kindly help me....

  • Hi Ahmed,

    I'm sorry but microsoft don't support 3rd party products. You might want to contact your vendor on that issue you are facing ?
