task manager has been disabled by your administrator RRS feed

  • Question

  • Running Windows XP on a Thinkpad. There is definately a virus in there somewhere....the only thing that loads up is the wallpaper on my desk top....there are no icons that load on the desktop. When I hit alt ctrl del, I get the message that the task manager has been disabled by your administrator. I would try to fix it via the solutions on the site, but there is not even a start, run (or any other buttons) on the blank desktop...any suggestions? THANKS!!!

  •  Hi, the Windows Vista Migration forum is for general Windows Vista OS only. Please do not post Windows XP questions in this forum. Make sure to choose the appropriate Windows Vista forum before submitting an inquiry. For your information, you'd better submit the thread to Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3). Thanks for your understanding.
