network reporting, mapping, analysis RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm look for software like spiceworks that will install on multiple networks, pull all the network devices, analysis and create mappings and reports. Then sync with my server. Does Microsoft have such a product designed for network consultants?

  • Microsoft's solution for this is Systems Center Configuration Manager, but it's a full time application, not for analysis.  For analysis, Visio does have built-in tools.  Also, search for the Active Directory Topology Generator.

  • Although I haven't used the product in several years, I believe Microsoft Visio is able to do that.
