Document Library Datasheet VIew

Question
-
Hi,
I have a document library created in SharePoint. In InfoPath, I have created a form which is published to this library. I am able to fill the form but I am unable to edit it in Datasheet mode. When I try, I get the error "The selected cells are read-only". In Library Settings, Advanced Settings, I set YES for "Allow items in this form library to be edited using the datasheet?".
Are the document libraries meant not to be edited with Datasheet mode?
How can I solve this?
Thank you.

Publish again and on "Publishing Wizard - Promote Fields", check the box "Allow users to edit data in this field by using a datasheet or properties page".

When you published the form from InfoPath to the Library, did you select what columns would be displayed in the library? When you do that there is an option to say if those fields can be edited in datasheet view. I would doublecheck that setting.

Hello,
When you deployed the form in Document Library, did you promote the fields?
After that, you can edit the form in datasheet mode, but only those fields promoted on publishing.

When I publish, I promoted the fields. I see all my columns under "The fields listed below will be available as columns in SharePoint sites and Outlook folders".
I don't see anywhere where I can see a setting related to this like Jennifer said.Do I need to add the fields to the section below?
"The fields listed below will be available as SharePoint Web Part connection parameters"
Thank you

You should see a checkbox when you configure what fields in your form match what columns in your library.

Where do I see this option? I use InfoPath 2010. I checked "File"-> "Form Options" -> "Property Promotion". I see my fields in the top field. I don't see the setting you are referring to.
Thank you.

You need to publish again (not Quick Publish).
Go to >> File >> Publish >> Sharepoint Server (again not Quick Publish)
Then, Publishing Wizard pops up.Wednesday, April 13, 2011 3:34 PM -
Thank you very much, I needed to click "Modify" when a field is highlighted to see this checkbox.
