The policy Experience/AllowDeviceDiscovery does not work RRS feed

  • Question

  • First of all my tests have been performed on the latest mobile production build, that, now, is 10.0.14393.693.

I successfully applied the policy Experience/AllowDeviceDiscovery to a Lumia 950 with latest production build. I say successfully because I received no error when I applied the provisioning package to the phone.

As stated at https://msdn.microsoft.com/windows/hardware/commercialize/customize/mdm/policy-configuration-service-provider#experience-allowdevicediscovery, “When set to 0 , the projection pane is disabled. The Win+P and Win+K shortcut keys will not work on.”.

On a Windows 10 desktop this policy does indeed work, that is the above key combinations do not work after applying the provisioning package.

Instead, on a Lumia 950 with a usb keyboard attached to its usb type-c port, the above key combinations still work after applying the provisioning package, both using those combinations from locked screen and from unlocked screen.

Please can you kindly look into this?

    Best regards
