Word 2010 hyperlinks treated differently when copied and pasted (Mystery!) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am creating training documents with embedded hyperlinks to intranet websites.

I am running into an issue where those embedded hyperlinks do not work and return an error from the server (IIS) generic error "There was a problem processing your request. Please notify the system administrator." Using a normal Ctrl+Click method.

If that same hyperlink is copied and pasted into any web browser it works.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

FYI, creating a hyperlink in Outlook (email) and Ctrl+Clicking works just fine =/

Also, When saving the same word doc to PDF and opening in Reader, the link works fine =/

Another test, Same doc saved as an html web page then opened in either ie or chrome, link works fine =/

  • Hi Miguelz,

I suppose this behavior only happened to certain special websites?
