  • BrancheCache is a Windows Server 2008 R2 feature and to be able to use BranchCache for s ahre you must enable it for BranchCache, something you can only do if the fileserver is Windows Server 2008 R2. So the resources servers (files and/or web servers) need to be running Windows Server 2008 R2 for you to be able to utilize BranchCache.
