DHCP Ancillary Function Driver for Winsock Error and Bluescreen. RRS feed

  • Question

  •  I recently got a Blue screen of death for the first time on my three-four month old laptop with Windows Seven. I rebooted it in safe mode and went through the event viewer as windows advised me and I discovered about twenty errors of the same name and purpose in rapid succession. All said the same thing, about a device/driver/hardware/I cant remember anymore, not working and I don't know how to fix the problem or gain anymore clues as to the problem. Where do I go from here?

  • Hi,

Please post the whole error information here. Meanwhile, I suggest you perform the following and see how it helps.

    1. Update all the drivers.

    2.   Run System File Checker (SFC) to scan your system.

How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7

If the above cannot help, please upload the C:\Windows\Minidump folder on your SkyDrive and post the link here.
