Setting up Recipient Limit limitation for multiple users

    Question

  • Hi,

    I want to change the recipient limit for a number of users and it seems EMC cannot do it alone. So I used powershell but it too could do it one at a time it seems.

    Any one can help me achieve this task? Got around 300 People to change with recipient limit.

    Thanks in advance..

  • Well if you have the list as CSV, do something like:

    Import-CSV blabla.csv | % { Set-Mailbox $_.PrimarySmtpAddress -RecipientLimits 100 }

    Where you have a column "PrimarySmtpAddress" in the CSV to identify users.

  • If I understand you correctly, what you need is:

    Set-Mailbox user@domain.com -RecipientLimits 100

    Or in bulk:

    Get-Mailbox -ResultSize Unlimited | Set-Mailbox -RecipientLimits 100

  • Thanks Vasli,

    This script is ok for all users

    Get-Mailbox -ResultSize Unlimited | Set-Mailbox -RecipientLimits 100

    But I want to do the change for a selected user pool. i.e Branch Users who resides under Branch OU and then under The Branch OU and Under the USER OU. So even running with -OU seems to have run a several times (around hundred times)

    So what I did was preparing a list and now I need to use that over the below command

    Set-Mailbox <user@Domain.com> -RecepientLimits 100
