I have tried to install Vista Beta 2, from a Microsoft manufactured Vista setup DVD, about 5 times. Each time, the white "progress bar" stops during the file loading process about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way and then just freezes up. I've let it sit there for hours and hours and nothing happens.
What should I do at this point ?? A Microsoft training professional gave me the Beta 2 DVD that is a genuine copy with the blue label, etc... at a conference I attended in Albuquerque.
I really want to install Vista, but this is getting to be ridiculous ! I'm running a P4-1.7GHz with 1 GB memory and 80 GB hard drive, DVD R/W drive set as primary IDE1 drive, with HD set as primary IDE0 drive.
Any thoughts other than what I have viewed on this site so far ???
