Assign Static and Public IP address to VPN client? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello, need some help pls in Windows Server 2008 Standard. The server is dedicated - not virtual machine -  has 1 Network Interface (physical NIC) with multiple public IPv4 addresses, a /29 (Ipv4). I want to assign static, public and dedicated IP addresses to PPTP / L2TP / SSTP VPN clients. I have RRAS enabled, I know how to configure the VPN itself but I don't know how to disable NAT and give directly public IP addresses to clients... I have multiple public IP addresses on my server so this is not the issue.

At this time, I have public IPv4 addresses which I want to assign but in the close future I will have IPv6 also, so it would be nice I could be pointed in the right direction for both IP protocols, to solve the issue permanently. Any step by step tutorial anywhere? I would love to see a tutorial for dummies :)

As a last question, can I have SSTP server and HTTPS server on the same server, the same network interface? both of them work on port 443 TCP.
