  • Hi,

The sdxhelper.exe is an executable file of Microsoft Office.
Given this situation, it is suggested to repair your Office installation and see if there is any difference.

    Hope this can be helpful.

  • I am having the same issue on Win7 64 bit. I have ran repair and reinstalled Office 2016 twice and the error keeps coming back.

  • Windows 7 x64

Experiencing issue since Office Suite ver. 1903 and above

Repairing and/or fresh uninstall/reinstall do not resolve the problem for me either. Are there any other suggestions? This EXE appears to be related to the update service for the Office Suite, from what I have read on previous forum posts. The only resolutions that I can find are to repair or reinstall Office. I am sure that this is not a viable solution for many having the same problem.

Below is an event log at the time that the error, "Microsoft SDX Helper has stopped working," was being displayed. If there is any further information needed to devise a fix, please let me know.

  • I have this exact same issue. Started happening a few months ago - usually pops up after I've been away from my machine for a little bit. VERY ANNOYING!
