One Domain Control won't connect to second

    Question

  • I have a network with two Domain Controllers.  The power went out long enough to drain battery backups.  When power came back on, one of the domain controllers won't connect to the network.

  • I'd check the network adapter in Device Manager for issues. Also check the system event log for clues.

  • Hi,
    First of all, please check if this DC is getting an IP address by running ipconfig command.
    And you could also have a try the followings to see more information for troubleshooting:
    1. Ping its own IP and FQDN;
    2. Ping gateway.
    3. Ping a client which is connecting to this DC
    4. Ping a public address, such as google.com
    Best regards,
    Wendy
