My HP Vista Laptop is screwed. How much to fix? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Okay, so let's get this started. It's a VISTA. The monitor only seems to work if it's in a certain position, and even if you see what's on the screen, you'll find that it's completely black. The AC charger also only works if you leave it in the laptop in a certain way, and as soon as it disconnects the laptop dies. In conclusion: the monitor seems to not be connected from the whole computer, the battery is dead, and the operating software is just horrible. To top it all off, this all happened spontaneously in a matter of about 2 days for no visible reason.  How much do you guys think it'll cost to repair and upgrade to at least Windows 7?

  • This is not a Windows problem but an issue with your hardware.  You will need to contact your manufacture or take the computer to a reputable repair facility.  This type of question can't be easily answered here.
