PeriodicTasks failing from Invalid object name 'dbo.MSP_QUEUE_RENDEZVOUS' in Project Server 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • In a Project Server 2010 environment (v. 14.0.4763.1000) I am getting endlessly repeated errors that PeriodicTasks failed. The underlying error is apparently "Invalid object name 'dbo.MSP_QUEUE_RENDEVOUS'." What kinds of things should I research or investigate?

There is a forum thread about that underlying error but the context seems different: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/office2007deployment/thread/15149d07-90a3-41db-aadb-7526a5ee5cc2 One of the posters there connects his problem with (as I understand it) the Project Server 2007 SP2 April (2009) CU.

Error messages extracted from ULS logs:

    Hi Clark,

Have you recently provisioned PWA using backup copy of Project databases from different environment?

As per the above error message looks like you are using Project Server Demo image? Image is valid only for 180 days, could you please confirmed since how log are you using this image.

Version ID 14.0.4763.1000, indicates RTM version, if my understanding is correct about your demo environment, you may have to download new image with SP1 from

  • Hrishi, thanks. It seems I need to find out about the provenance of the setup I'm being asked to fix.
