HTTP 500 Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Ok keep getting this for anyone who uses it that is not setup in the SCSM admin user role.

Not sure what rights I need to assign users in SCSM so any assistance or direction would be appreciated.

All users should be able to see their requests and activities but get the 500 Error.

  • Are you using the new HTML5 portal or the old SharePoint\Silverlight portal?

  • Hi,

Do you want this ENd users or analysts?

For and users you can create catalog Item group , after you can link to that groups to end user security roles.

For analyst you can create queue for request or activities. and you can link to that queues to analyst security groups.

Did you do any configuration line above?

  • I am using the new portal and went through and re-read the instructions. The new web server did not have SM installed so that is causing those issues. Just wish we didn't need a secondary SM or have to install it on the primary SM.

    Oh well

  • Hi,

Yes, you need service manager SDK service running on html 5 portal server.

  • Go into IIS Manager and find the SSP website.

    Disable Windows Authentication

    Enable Basic Authentication
