Upstream Server in Diffrent Forest RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Experts

According to requirement, we need to install WSUS Upstream Server in one management domain (xyz.com) and need to patch/install updates in Client domains (client1.com) using Downstream Server in autonomous mode.

Do you think this is possible? How authentication will happen between Upstream and Downstream using autonomous mode?

    Thanks Cloudy Lynx

    Of course.

    Yes.

Actually, WSUS doesn't authenticate clients by default.

    Best Regards.

  • Hi Armin At present there is not any trust and downstream servers in same forest/domain are using port no. 8530. Do you think it will not work using same 8530 port between interforest?
