APP-V Management Console works with Server 2003 but not Server 2008 R2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was able to install the APP-V Management Server on a Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard x64 server using the standard IIS 6.0 install and SQL Server Express 2008 R2.  I just used the wizard, clicked on typical and I was off.  When completed I was able to start the console, put to the local website with port 80 and start managing APP-V.

I tried the exact same installation except this time I used Windows Server 2008 R2.  I installed the IIS 7.5 Role and included the ASP, IIS 6.0 and Windows Authentication features.  I installed the SQL Server 2008 Express R2 and everything was working properly.  I installed the APP-V Management Server and rebooted the server.  When I loaded the application and tried to put to the local web site (80) I would get errors.

After using various web sites and forums, I am down to getting a constent 0000c800 error.  Why is it so hard to install this application on a 2008 R2 Standard server and what can I do to finally get the console working?
