I have an old computer from my office that is running Vista. I would like to wipe the HD and reinstall Windows. The tech who set up the computers made it impossible to just format the drive. I can't get anywhere. The tech is no help. The instructions he
gave me don't work. I have the registry key. Is there something I can download?
Which Windows do you want to install? Windows Vista, 7, 8.1, or 10?
Do you have a media(CD/DVD) for installing Windows XX (xx means Vista, 7, 8.1, or 10)?
If you have a media, you can boot your computer from the media and can install it by formatting C drive.
To boot CD/DVD(optical drive), you should modify BIOS settings: boot sequence = optical drive First.
At this time, I cannot say further, for I do not know your computer(manufacture, model name).
