Server 2008 R2 Spinning circle on network icon in bottom tray RRS feed

    This server is setup as a file sharing server and is a member on a domain.  I am running SQL 2008.  When I log into The server it comes up very slowly and I have a spinning circle on the network icon in the bottom tray.  I cant access the network port  I can go to one of my workstation on the network and access the shared folders on the server.  I can run a few programs that access the internet and they receive files back.   my SQL backup I have to run manually inside of SQL.  Help

    I'd check the domain controller and problem member are not multi-homed and that both domain controller and problem member have the static ip address of DC listed for DNS and no others such as router or public DNS

    Hi,

    The first thing we can try is reinstall network adapter driver.

    Then as Dave Patrick said, check network settings and domain controller and problem member.
