You do not have permission to access this Web folder location RRS feed

  • Question

  • I run a website that is hosted by one of the many website hosting companies out there... when I or the others who help with the website go there we go through 'My Network Places' in Windows XP - and generally have no problem at all.  However, today one of the people who help with my website got the following message:  You do not have permission to access this Web folder location.

I called the hosting company and they said she's not blocked on their end.  So if the blocking is coming from HER computer is there something we can do to fix it?  I had her delete the initial connection and redo it and she still got the error message.

Thanks for any help you can give!

  • Also, I was just thinking... if you think it might be something on the hosting companies end could you give me an idea of what to have them check?  Because the guy I was talking to had no idea besides checking to see if her IP address was blocked... thanks...
