How to turn on Low Disk Space Alerts?

  • Hello there, I hope I can receive Low Disk Space Alerts just like I'm using Windows 2003. With an improve I hope I can change the low disk space check level. Is it available in Windows Server 2008 R2? Thanks.
    Do my best in .Net learning.

    Although the article is about how to turn off the low disk space warning, you can try to change the Dword “NoLowDiskSpaceChecks” in the registry key to 0 instead of 1 to turn it on.

     

    Alternatively, the File Server Resource Manager can also be used in Windows Server 2008 R2 to create a quota of logical disk and send alerts via email when the usage reaches a certain percentage.

     

    Here’s the step by step guide of File Server Resouce Manager in Windows Server 2008 R2 for your reference.

  • How did you configure the Disk space alert on Windows 2003?  If you have an alert in the event log you can generate email alert using the following option:

  • Hi, maybe you can activate disk quora and configure the setting to genarate one event when users exceed the warning level.

  • The disk space alert option in the link is for Server 2008.  How would you go about doing the same for 2003?  That option in 2008 is awesome, but I still have about 40% of 2003 servers that I need to monitor.
