• Question

  • Whenever I slide the volume control gauge up...it always drops by to 0 volume! And when I select a song to play from my media library, the screen starts sliding down to the bottom!! In essence, any sound selection drops back to zero, or drops to the bottom of the page. I've tried everything I know of!
Even when I try to click on a photo in my library...the whole screen shoot to the bottom. I can't open anything in my Windows Media. Is this file corrupted???

  • Hi,

I would like to verify if you received any error message. Do you mean you cannot open anything in library from Windows Media Player?

If so, please reset the library database and Windows Media Player for a test.

    a. Navigate to "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player" folder and deleting anything in it. After restarting Windows Media Player, the database will be reset. If the issue persists, go to next step.
    b. Click Start, type windows features in the search box, then select turn windows features on or off.
    c. Expand Media Features option, clear the option for Windows Media Player.
    d. Restart the computer, check the option back.
