Microsoft MP for Windows Print Server couldn't be verified RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have tried downloading the Management Pack for Windows Print Server 2016 (ENU) from the following link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=54588

and I get the following message:

The publisher of Microsoft SC MP for Windows Print Server 2016 and 1709 Plus.ESN.msi couldn't be verified.

I wasn't sure where else to highlight this so I posted it here.

I also tried a couple of others and got the same message.

    Thanks,

    Mark.

  • Hi Mark,

You might have some policies restricting your browser if you're using Internet Explorer, have you tried using another Web browser?

As long as the source is from a legit Microsoft page, you can safely ignore these messages and download the management packs.

    Best regards,
    Leon

  • Hi Mark,

you can safely ignore this Warning if you have downloaded the MP from the official Microsoft download location.
I don't think that they are doing signing and all the associated procedures for all management packs. Also the different Microsoft management packs are developed by different Microsoft partners and there are differences when it comes to signig those packages.

I get the same message for the IIS MP and I am getting forwarded to:

    Download files from the web

when I click on more information.

Just ignore it and get the MP if you need it.

    Hope I could help. Regards,
