Only Allow A Mac Address After The Client Has Passed Validation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Using Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 when a client joins the network they will not be given an IP address, I would like (if possilbe) for the user to be taken to a web page that would ask them to agree to the terms and conditions and enter a passcode, then their MAC address be allowed and they get access to the network.  Unless the network administrator specifies I would like the client to have their MAC address denied and have to go through the process again with a different passcode.

Does anyone know if anything like this is possible.

    Thank you

  • Hi Aarom,

    Thanks for posting here.

NPS does not have a built-in method could allow us to do authentication in this way .

We may consider to develop our own software with using Windows Radius API or go to search third party Windows platform based solution. Solution that will help to do in this way.
