I have just found the same problem on a brand new Vista desktop - VLC is fine WMP fails on any home video. How can Microsoft continue to fail to address it's poor level of competence and customer care? - ...What's worse is that no one seems to be able to find a download of the missing codec - put it on your site Microsoft for f's sake! - Accept responsibility for the weakness of your programs - please!
