i'm transferring my xp to 8.1..1st it would give a error "transfer file not safe or something like that,now it won't connect..now i'm using a transfer cord..everybody's having problems with transferring from xp,why!do everybody have to be a computer
to get his or her money's worth from there investment?
speed is depend on the cable you bought, try to use other PC to isolate cable issue, moving XP files to Windows 8.1 using USB is safe and must be worked if there is no issue with USB port and cable itself
try also to update your Windows 8.1 chipset
