Windows Protection in UnderDomain RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi,

The computer labs in my organization are currently using the MS SteadyState. We are currently deploying a new AV using web based installer where we just push from the server. My question is, is there any way of disabling temporary the Windows Disk Protection from the Domain server in order for me to install the AV remotely? There are quite number computers in my labs where i find it hard for me to change the settings manually on each computer. Hope anyone would be able to give me some pointers.

    thank you.

Hi murali2778, we can use the following command to disable WDP:

    "C:\Program files\Windows SteadyState\sctui.exe" /DisableWDPAndReboot

You can create a batch file with the command and then deploy it to your computers. Also, all of these functions are exposed through the WMI-based WDP API.  See for examples.
