Push notification registration failed RRS feed

  • Question

  • I migrated Samsung S8 to S7 and Microsoft Authenticator does not work there - I cannot register work account - always 'Push notification registration failed', I cannot even add personal Microsoft account - generic error "Something went wrong". Our IT department tried to help me - we uninstalled, reinstaled app, deleted the phone Dalvik cache, use QR code, put the link directly, they completely reset my work account. We found out that the problem is just with the phone - it is possible to add the account on another device, just not on this one. I believe that factory reset would help, but I would like to avoid that and I cannot believe there is not solution. What else could be in the game - what files/settings we could reset?

  • Hi,
Im experience the exact same issue with my new Oneplus 6T. Hope we can find a solution without resetting the device.

  • Same phone, same issue. If it is the phone that is not supported, they need to tell us. As usual we will only be able to find this out from 4 hour long tech support sessions where they waste your time. OR from a forum. Hope it is not our phones :(
