  • I'm afraid I don't know what "lay protol" is.

Are you getting an error message of any kind?

  • Are your two machines part of a domain, and if so do you have any GPO's deployed that might be preventing this functionality?

  • Home edition shouldn't be able to join a domain, it could though have something to do with the local GPO, again though "lay protol"???

  • Make sure both have simple network sharing unchecked, and see if you can UNC (i.e.  \\laptop) between them.
