<Win7>Audio volume level may have different displays on audio icon and speaker properties RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear all,

I am working for a laptop PC ODM. From our massive testing of PCs with Win7 installed, we found that audio volume may have different displays on audio icon (bottom right of desktop) and speaker properties (right click on audio icon\Playback devices\double click Speaker device\Speaker properties\Level).
    Steps to re-create:
    1. Open Speaker properties\Level
    2. Drag and adjust audio volume via audio icon
    3. Observe the both changing levels (they may have 1% disparity )

This symptom is 100% duplicated with or without vendor audio driver installed.
I am wondering if it's a Microsoft OS issue?

    Would someone help?
